InformationHello! I am Ms. Landry, a 6th and 7th grade history teacher at Harry Bridges. I am so excited to begin my third year at Harry Bridges Span School for this, the 2014-2015 school year. Before that, I taught at Wilmington Middle School. Before that, I was in out-of-classroom district level positions for about ten years. I am so excited to be back with the students as I missed them!
I’m originally from Maine, but early in my career I was drawn to California for many reasons, primarily the weather. I love summer, the sun, the beaches, and the laid back attitude here. I do miss Maine from time to time and go back to visit as often as possible, but I call California home now. Since being in California I have worked primarily in special education, as a sort of “teacher coach” supporting special and general education teachers, school staff and parents. From the early ’00s up until ’10 I worked primarily in educating people about autism and even taught students with autism during ESY (extended school year). I still have a passion for and a wealth of knowledge about autism and welcome ALL students in my classroom. History is my passion, though, and I am so happy to have returned to what first drew me into this profession. I love history–any history–and love working with kids. What better career for me than to teach history! |
2014-15 School YearI teach 7th Grade World History during periods 1, 2, 4 and 5. I teach 6th Grade Ancient History during period 3. I also teach the leadership/yearbook elective during Period 7. My conference period is Period 6. I am available for pre-scheduled parent meetings during my conference period. Either call or e-mail and wait for a confirmation and I'd be happy to meet with you. I can also meet before or after school on most days (we have meetings Tuesday and Thursday after school though). Click here to fill out a quick conference form.
